August 6th
Hair raisingly windy today and only the crows share the beach with me.  The air is warm but the wind strong and the sea noisy.  Again, jade coloured, with white horses galloping everywhere and into the distance. No one venturing in the shallows today.  Coffee drinkers sit buffeted by the wind but the sun glimmers down to cheer the day.  The waves splash and fold in watery whiteness retreating in a foamy wake. Every curl a different churning colour, there is beauty in the shapes made, with an intensity of jade in the whiteness of the breaking waves.  Abstracts so numerous can be extracted from these fascinating displays of wave power.

I chose to process in mono as the natural colours were dreary and uncoordinated, to my eye anyway!
